Upper Room Recording & Music School! offers a program that gives students more than just instrument instruction. We focus on four concepts: musical education, instrument application, composition or songwriting and recording. We offer instruction for the beginner and intermediate student in piano, guitar, bass guitar, percussion, and vocals.

My wife Maria and I believe that we have developed into strong musicians because we were given performance opportunities at a young age. That's the reason we want to provide a venue for our students to overcome performance anxiety.

We also develop self-composed ideas into exercises which can make the learning process more inviting. These exercises can actually turn into self-composed songs that can be expanded and used in performance with other musicians.

As Maria and I grew as musicians, we realized how much recording stimulates and challenges growth. Early in our program, we utilize recording to benchmark growth. It gives us an opportunity to measure improvement. It also provides something to show off to friends and family. You get to bring home a CD of your latest work to your loved ones. And as you develop self-composed musical ideas, we can produce and record them. All in all, we do much more than just teach instruments - we develop musicians!
